The construction continues. On Thursday, we had doors again. A nice milestone that made us feel like maybe we aren’t that far from the finish line. Maybe.
It also reminded us that we hadn’t yet figured out how to block light from coming through the newly-added transom windows at night.
The transoms in our offices and bathroom are fine. No one will be sleeping in our offices. And if someone is sleeping in the bathroom, they probably aren’t in a state where a little light is going to matter.
But the bedroom and guest room are a different story. We want to keep the light from the hallway out of those rooms, so we’re experimenting with creating hinged covers from our old closet doors.
We’ve got one more day to think about it, but we like the idea of reusing material.
