Gift-giving can be tricky. I don’t want to burden someone with things they don’t need or want. So I try to give something that won’t take up permanent space. Flowers. Booze. Food.
And after this weekend, I’m adding succulent bouquets to that list. I created this one for a friend’s birthday using rosettes from various succulents, floral wire (paddle and stem), a leftover jar and sand.
The arrangement should last a week or so. Whenever the succulents start to look a little tired, she can remove them from the wire stems and stick them in a sunny patch of ground. They’ll quickly form roots. And the jar can be put into the recycling bin.
There's a good tutorial here on how to prepare succulents for a bouquet.
