I have a fondness for old wood chairs that look like they belong in the corner of a painter’s studio. Things that would probably repel a normal person—splotches of paint, patches of missing varnish—make me a little giddy.
Case in point, two new chairs from Urban Ore. We were looking for old salvaged doors for our next remodeling project, and happened upon these. They go perfectly with the other “painter’s studio” chair we found a couple years ago.
We did a little work on them. Hosed them down, sanded and slightly varnished the really rough parts. (I don’t want anyone snagging a perfectly good pair of tights on these.) And added Forever Glides to the bottom of each leg.
