Aren't little rituals comforting? Lighting a candle each time we sit down for dinner is an easy one. It helps us slow down and appreciate the meal.
But occasionally, I get seated and realize I've forgotten to grab the matches. It'd be more convenient to keep them on the table, but the box they come in is not much to look at.
So I started searching for a match strike and spotted this one. I liked the look of it, but the seller had it listed as unavailable. And still does.
Luckily, I remembered we had a very small cast iron bowl we'd picked up years ago. It was holding a few small succulents — that I quickly transplanted — and I've been using the bowl as a match strike every since. So far, so good.
